forgive snapback hat
Growing up, I thought to forgive someone required the other person… the person I perceived to have wronged me in some way. Later on, I realized that to forgive or the act of forgiveness solely has to do with me letting go. Letting go of resentment, anger, hurt, pain, fear.
Forgiving yourself for things you could have done differently in hindsight, anything else you're holding onto, and perceived wrongs for which you talk poorly to yourself. When you are able to release that and forgive yourself, the lightness and relief felt can be almost palpable. Are you still holding on to old hurts, pains, fears? Perhaps forgiving will help you too.
